What a haul!  I love sourcing for my Poshmark closet!

Look at this haul!  I had so much fun sourcing at Plato's Closet. Each February, they have a "Stuff a bag" sale.  They give you a regular plastic bag and you can stuff as much as you can for $10!

It wasn't even too crowded.  I was about 5th in line waiting for the doors to open.  Since I had done this last year, I knew what to expect.  There were many bins full of both men's and women's items in all sizes.  There were even shoes and accessories but that is not the type of thing you want to stuff in a plastic bag.

I also learned from last year to take a little time to check labels and avoid Shein, Forever 21, and other cheap brands.  I actually found a Zara skirt and some cute items that had no brand.  One item that I have never seen anything like it before. It's mauve velvet and has mesh sides and fold sequin fringe.

Unique!   And hard to describe!  I imagine it may have been a recital outfit for dance.
I love it and wish U were a tiny person again.  I've not seen size 4 since I lost 50+ pounds with Weight Watchers in my 40's or in my teens and early 20's.

I was going to just take my one bag but as I was paying, they told me I could get as many bags as I wanted! So, I did bag number two. In the end, I had 24 items for $20.  This worked out to about 83 cents per item.  This will definitely help my bottom line.

This trip was especially good because it was my first outing since the terrible snow and ice got me stuck in the house for two weeks!

I will get these items in my closet this week provided the sun comes out and helps me with lighting.  I am really excited to find out what treasures I found!  The process is fun too.  Take pix, use google lens to do the research, use Photoroom's virtual model to get a good representation of the item as the cover photo. fill in the description, and list! Love it.

You can do this too.  It's easy.  Since last Friday, I sold 4 items.  The week before, I sold two bundles and a couple more items.  It gets me coffee and lunch with friends!

OH, la Chaleur !

When I was in Grad school, my prof could not stand the heat.  She would constantly fan herself and exclaim Oh la chaleur, oh the heat!

It was really hot but not as oppressive as the last few days here. Thankfully,  we had a storm and it is much better now

I've had a few successes lately  I just sold a pair of leggings for $31 that I bought for $2

I found a Chadwicks leather skirt for $4.

Overall, it's been light. And that's ok.

My August special will be buy one get 2 at half price and 30% off any single purchase.

All reviews have been good.

I have a health issue that is occupying most of my time but my closet provides a welcome distraction.

Come join the fun!

My Poshmark Closet is an important distraction!

I have some stuff going on and I am so glad to have Poshmark to keep me busy.  Otherwise, I'd probably do nothing productive.

This past Saturday, Plato's Closet had a summer sale.  Bring your own bag, fill it with all you want, get 90% off!  I found 19 items and paid just over $18.  Less than a dollar for each item!

After looking over them carefully, there are 3 items I may add to the mystery box or use them as giveaways.  May is the important word in that sentence.  It has a lot power that word.  It is one of the most indecisive words in the English language. It's a halfway promise and a way out of that promise all at the same time.  So, you sound hopeful and good but under the surface you are crossing your fingers you do not have to do it.  Like, I may make the meeting on watching  paint dry on Tuesday.  Everyone has your halfway promise and are hopeful you will be there.  On the other hand, you have a wry smile on your face because you know you are not going!

I did find a Zara dress and an athletic jacket that is really nice. All in all, it was a good haul.

My sales have been better lately.  I guess the change keeping people from updating their items using bots has allowed more exposure for us small fries.

I also calculated how much I have spent so far this year and how much I have made.  Good news- I am in the black!

This is the easiest and most enjoyable "hobby" I have ever had.  It's very easy to do. It's better than a yard sale!  So, come join me and have a little fun and make a little money.

POSHMARK updates don't upset me ! This adventure has been awesome for me! It provides a distraction from either  the ho hum of every day retirement living or the worries that fight each other in my head.

I can count on one hand the number of times I have been frustrated with doing POSHMARK.  But, overall, 99% of the time it's fun and sometimes profitable.

Today, I listed a couple of items and as soon as I did, I sold something. I suppose their crackdown on people relisting tons of their items has had a good result for those of us who don't do that.

I've noticed that the new listing gets many, many shares too!

And, I've seen my items in the sales feed.

Cool. Whatever changes they made with relisters has helped me!

I still do not like using the AI tool to list my item. It is too generic and gets the item wrong most of the time.

Poshmark is more important than ever!  Great sale finds can ease a worried mind!

I have an issue that has taken full attention lately.  However, distractions from worry are very important when you need to maintain a positive attitude and endure the hurry up and wait forever environment of the health system.

So, I did a little shopping.  Plato's closet had a 50% off sale.  It's a little embarrassing because I thought I was getting 80% off but apparently only one of the 6 racks met the criteria.  Still, I am ok with what I found.

Zara dress.  Cost me $7 which is more than I usually pay but it is Zara. Listed it at $35.  I had likes on the same day I listed it.  Offers are in the works.

Fabletics sports bra.  I paid $3.  It's original price is $65!  That's crazy.  I listed it at $25.  I had likes and made offers on the same day it was listed!

Another Zara dress.  Cost me $7. It has the original tags and list was $50. I listed it at $23,

R and M Richards perfect Mother of the Bride dress!  I bought this at Salvation Army for about $6.  I listed it at $125.  Already had a few likes on it.

All in all, though I have something going on in my personal life, I can still find solace in working on my Poshmark closet from thrifting to listing!

UNBELIEVABLE HAUL!  Thrift thrill!

I am so thrilled!  Look what I got for $30!

Not everything in the picture!

But, here's what I did find:

1 Wedding Dress with tags!

1 Prom Dress with tags!

7 Dresses

2 tops

5 pair of shoes

3 cosmetic bags

Our local SPCA sponsored thrift store (all sales go to help all the fur babies) is celebrating their 2nd aniversary by offering different $2.00 items every day this week.

Sunday, it was shoes.  All 5 pair are new or nearly new with no scratches or issues!

Today, Tuesday, was all dresses

Wednesday is tops and later this week all bottoms!

So, I did a little research and the wedding dress had a list price of $650!  I will probably list it around $300 even though it is new with tags.

I can use the cosmetic bags as giveaways when I do a live show.

This is the kind of thrift find I have hoped to have for years.

I will sell these items.  It will definitely help bring down my costs and contribute to my gross income!

In other news, I do have that job.  Turns out I do not have to be on camera and am not restricted as to when I put in my time except it has to be between 7am and 9pm.

Ain't life grand?

Better than Goodwill!

I spent the weekend at my Mom's house.  I miss her often.  It's great that I can stay in her home whenever I want.  It came in very handy when I started taking care of my grandsons because it is only fifteen minutes away from my son's house.

I like being on my own.  Making my own decisions.  Not having to worry what anyone else may want.  No second guessing.

I just chilled and did some sharing and following.  I added a few new listings.  I did go shopping.  Bought some things for myself for a change.

There's this store in my hometown called Label Shopper.  ( Label Shopper)  It's great.  Name brands for up to 70% off.  I found two sweaters, two tops and a pair of capri jeans for myself for about $20! (Liz Claiborne, LC Lauren Conrad) It could be a good place to source as well.  Sometimes, you may find things for as little as $3!  That's better than Goodwill!

I have also bought items for my grandsons from Spyder, Champion, Under Armour.... They carry home goods and clothing for men, women, and kids. I want to go back and shop some more just by talking about it!  Addicted to shopping much?

On the closet front, I went to the Curosity Shop on Saturday and found a few bags and one Cat's Meow item. Then, I took a road trip.  Just because I could!  It was cold but sunny.  I cannot wait for top down weather! I have a Buick Cascada convertible and love my top down road trips.

On Sunday, I stopped at a Goodwill before going home.  I was there before they opened!  This man started pounding on the door five minutes before 11.  Wow! Can you imagine? Who is that impatient to get into Goodwill?  I did find a few items.

There was a seamstress mannequin they had priced at $50.  It had a yellow label so it would have been 50% off.  I considered it because having a mannequin would help my items look better in pictures.  But, it looked damaged, old and really ugly.  So, I decided against it.

Then, I went home to the same old same old.  Not much happens after forty years of marriage and getting up in years.

So, a relaxed weekend.  It's nice to have that once in a while.

Today is Wednesday, I think.  When you are on Melbourne, Australia time because you are trying to watch as much of the Aussie Open  in real time, you lose track of what day it is.

I love tennis.  I'm very excited that there is one American woman and one American man in the semis! My one and only favorite tennis player retired recently.  Rafa Nadal!  Rafa never broke a racquet! He will always be the GOAT in my eyes.

Now an update on what's happened for my closet recently.

I went to Goodwill this past Sunday.  It's 50% off on a certain color.  I found no dresses because I found out that around noon they start taking the 50% off color off the racks!  Why, I asked.  They take the oldest items to the back to discard them.

I suggested they have bins of .99 items so what they toss will instead go to good use.  Besides, it would be a good deal for me.

Anyway, I found several tops at 50% off.  Most had original tags!  I also found two joggers that were in excellent shape.  One is Under Armour and one is Calvin Klein.

I did find one top that I paid the full price of 5.99!  I could not resist.  It turned out to be a good thing. It is a J. Crew halter style lined lace top with a bow tie in back.  There's a subtle shine to the lace.  Very feminine, very beautiful.  It has the original tags but no price and has never been worn.   I had to do some research but the original price had to be at least $89!  I listed it for $39.  I may have been able to ask for more but I feel this price is fair.

This is what picks up my spirits- shopping for the real thing that turns out to be a great deal! Every aspect of Poshmark is fun for me.

I love the "hunt" for great items.  I love doing the research on those items.  When I find out how much it is worth, I jump for joy, figuratively speaking.

I enjoy listing the item because I am full of hope that it will sell and bring joy to someone else.

I share and follow and share and follow and then one day, it happens.  It sells and I get the e-mail that it sold.

I love packaging the item and writing a thank you card with a personal touch.

Then, I take it to the post office and I can pass by the line and leave it on the counter because it has a prepaid label!

Yes siree! I love doing this.  It's fun, it keeps me active.  It makes me feel good that people buy my items and are happy too.

It may not be a million dollar business but it is worth so much more to have something worthwhile to do when you are my age!  I taught for 45 years.  I am not one to sit around and do nothing! Posh gives me purpose!
